Technology changes. Good businesses adapt.
Computers changed the office. The internet changed distribution. Smartphones changed speed. Cloud software changed how teams operated.
AI is another shift in that same line. Powerful, yes. Magic, no.
The hard part is rarely the tool. The hard part is helping a business change how work gets done: which processes should stay, which tools should go, which workflows should be rebuilt, and how people use the new way.
We help companies move from curiosity to capability.
Meet Matt Chimes.
Matt founded Chimes Ventures after spending his career helping companies navigate change from the inside.
He started in consulting at Centric, led founder services & product at Startups.com, ran deal flow and advised founders at a $160M venture fund, learned complex physical operations & systems running ops for an aerospace manufacturer, and co-founded a vertical SaaS company that grew to 400 accounts before it was acquired.
That background shapes the work. Start with the business, not the tool. Map current processes, find the constraint, build solutions that actually work in live/production workflows. Look for the quote process, the invoicing workflow, the expensive subscription, the manual cross-referencing, monthly reports, the spreadsheet everyone depends on, and the places where good people still do work that technology can now help with.
Based in Cleveland. Built for practical teams.
We like sitting across the table, walking through operations, whiteboarding ideas, and building relationships over time.
Technology may be global, but trust is still local.
We partner with growing companies across Ohio, the Midwest, and beyond.
